Mellette Moments
July 2012 - Lido Beach, Sarasota, Florida - Family Vacation |
In May, Jerad resigned from his position at PA Counseling and entered the
full-time job of deputation. In June, I
packed up my classroom at Lancaster County Christian School. Sniff, sniff. I finished on a high note, though, as this 5th
grade class was the best class I’ve taught in 12 years! They threw a creative - and quite generous -
send-off Canadian style celebration the last day of school for me. I was so touched…lots of tears were
shed! Gabriel joyfully finished up 4th grade – which was
probably his most challenging year thus far. Perhaps his tough 4th grade
experience will help make his transition to homeschooling - me, being his
teacher - more enjoyable! Let’s hope! Morgan was very sad to say good-bye to
her 2nd grade class and her favorite teacher…she even named her new
kitty, Ally Cat, after her teacher, Ally Horst!
Morgan had a very eventful year…she started the year off with a broken
collarbone, then her heart surgery and she ended the year with a bicycle accident
that gave her a concussion! She also
experienced the untimely death of one of her friend’s mom. We’ve shed more tears this year, but our
little tomboy is doing well overall.
Please pray for Gabriel & Morgan as they make the transition to a new culture, learn and new language AND as they make the adjustment to homeschooling |
God is Working in Powerful Ways!
Stepping out in faith is an
exciting way to live! We have already
seen God provide in amazing ways and we’re already anticipating how He’s going
to provide for us in the near future. We
have put offers on 2 different homes in Montreal, but both were rejected. It can be discouraging, but we know God will
provide – in His perfect timing! With
each rejection, though, more accommodating homes have surfaced. We want to live near the church so we can use
our home for youth group, homeschool classes, mission teams, etc.
Please continue to pray for this
need.
Thank you!
