Mellette Moments
Missions
Conferences
We
thank God for all of the fruitful and refreshing missions conferences we’ve
been involved in this Spring…here’s a brief update on each one:
·
In March, Jerad, Gabriel and our Senior Pastor, Doug Bozung, traveled
to Montreal to speak at Grace Church of
Lasalle – the church we will be working at in Canada. It was a real
blessing to show Pastor Doug where we’ll be ministering and to whom we’ll be
working alongside.
·
Also in March, we enjoyed being at Calvary
Monument Bible Church in Paradise, PA.
The week-long conference was so well-organized and allowed us to speak
to so many different age groups.
·
In April, we were invited to speak at our church, Christian Fellowship Church in New Holland for our annual missions
conference. It was especially rewarding
to visit with missionaries who inspired us over the years – to hear their
valuable advice and to learn from them.
More
Opportunites
We
praise God for giving us so many opportunities recently to share our passion
for the lost in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. While visiting Montreal with our
niece, Brittany, we were able to speak at two Sunday morning services at People’s Church – another great church
in downtown Montreal.
We
spoke to the 1st-4th graders at our church in April and
in May, we will be doing a special chapel for the Kindergarten-5th
graders at Gabriel and Morgan’s school, Lancaster
County Christian School (Leola Campus).
Do you have a moving date?
The
quick answer to that question is “Not yet, but we’re working on it!” We’re
singing in our good friend’s wedding in the beginning of August, so we will
probably wait until the middle of August to make the move to Montreal.
1.
Housing: Here and There
·
We’re leaning towards renting out our home here in PA, but haven’t
finalized that yet. Continue to pray
regarding housing in Montreal – it’s very expensive living in the city, but
that’s where the people are and that’s where we’d like to live.
2. Support
·
Jerad will finish his full-time job at Pennsylvania Counseling Services
in May. In a step of faith, we’re trusting God will bring in the
remaining 20% of our needed support as we long to be on the mission field
by the end of this summer.
3. Transition
·
We covet your prayers for us as we will soon finish up the school year
– Wanda will need to pack up her personal classroom items by June 7 – that will
be an emotional time!
Did
you know?
The city of
Montreal is increasingly drifting away from God and marginalizing an absolute
Creator at an alarming rate. There is a complete lack of moral awareness and
consciousness among Montrealers and opposition to the Gospel has never been
more apparent.

“Therefore
go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I
have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the
age.”
Matthew
28:19-20
