The weekend gives me time to blog...and I'm thankful for that. What else can one do when that one is covered in poison? Ah, yes...I have poison.
On Tuesday, Hubby had a most difficult day at work, but his evening was filled with something especially good - Men's Fraternity at Church...a time for Bible study and bonding. I was so glad he was able to go after such a miserable day. I was feeling okay...not topnotch but I feared it was the only evening to mow the yard - more rain coming...Could I bare to do the mowing? I decided I would at least try to tackle the job. Remember I haven't mowed at all this summer because of my lovely "little" belly issues...poor allergic-to-grass hubby has been filling in for me every week this summer. Could I attempt to mow? Why not try it? I mowed the front yard - it's a riding mower so I'm not exercising...I'm playing it safe. When I started to mow the backyard - the part of the yard that backs up to a park, I must have gotten in contact with some poison. Ick! My hubby came home soon after I started mowing the backyard and with only 20 minutes until he had to be at church, he finished the mowing for me. What a man! What if he hadn't rescued me...perhaps even more of my body would be covered in poison!!!
All that to say, I'm covered in poison. Yesterday the poison crept up my arm, in between my fingers, to my neck and this morning I woke up to some on my face! Double ick! So, as hubby is outside on a walk with our dear friends, I sit here doing what I do best...or what I enjoy doing best...writing!
Here's some adorable pics of my 2nd grader and kindergartner! Can't believe both of our children are in school now!

So many precious memories came flooding back to me as I read your blog today. Cousins together at the same school, playing together, going to kindergarden together and spending time on the playground together. They will love being at the same school. Honestly, that was such a privilege in our lives, for all of our children to grow up together...starting out, middle school, high school. What a treat for you and for them.
ReplyDeletePoison ivy...I had it too this summer. Feeling your pain. Hope you are feeling better soon.
